05 Aug Vision Board For Your Optimal Health And Life
Vision board your health and everything you want to share, experience, become and have in life. You can achieve what you visualize.
As Dr. Caroline Leaf writes, up to 98% of our mental and physical health comes from our thoughts (our thought life). We are what we think and what we think can keep us healthy.
Visualization, which is focused attention on positive outcomes, improves the expression of our DNA. Through visualization, we harness the power of epigenetics and boost our vitality. With vitality, we have limitless energy, focus, clarity, optimism and compassion needed to accomplish what we desire.
For years, Olympic athletes have been using visualization to achieve their goals. In fact, as Matt Mayberry writes for Entrepreneur, “all top performers, regardless of profession, know the importance of picturing themselves succeeding in their minds before they actually do in reality.”
mindbodygreen shares this powerful example of visualizing success about Oprah Winfrey:
“The media mogul, who pulled herself up from poverty to become one of the wealthiest women in the world, might be one of the biggest celebrity supporters of affirmations.
Her commitment started young: As a child watching her grandmother toil away, Winfrey says she’d tell herself over and over again: “My life won’t be like this. My life won’t be like this; it will be better.”
Besides frequently showcasing success stories of positive thinking on The Oprah Winfrey Show — and even discussing creating her own vision boards to realize her dreams — her many words of wisdom to fans include: ‘Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe. ‘”
I am a believer in vision boarding and I just completed one today. I was initially inspired to start vision boarding by Tony Jeary, who is an authority on results and works with many of the world’s top achievers. Here are highlights from his video on vision boarding:
– When you design your own life, you have a vision. Your vision is what you want to achieve in your life. It starts with clarity, focus and execution.
– Be extremely clear on what you want for your health, family, relationships, and career. Think about how you can create a significant life and achieve success.
– Put what you want to achieve on a vision board. This could be pictures or words that you find or create yourself.
Look at your vision board often. By doing so, you’re improving your neuroplasticity and conditioning your brain to help you achieve your vision. The pictures on our vision boards stimulate our mirror neurons, which control our consciousness and motivation. Our mind begins to compel us toward our goals.
Corporate Crossovers explains, “Each time you look at the board you are creating new neural pathways – this means you are creating a different way of thinking about your future and desires. This new way of thinking helps you to learn and to take new actions.” For more on the science behind vision boards, read the full article.
I’m energized each time I look at my vision and am motivated to achieve the life I have designed.
Do you vision board? How has it helped you achieve your health and life goals? If you haven’t done a vision board, are you ready to get started designing your best life?
